Utica College Continues To Be A Pioneer In Crime Education

Utica, New York – Utica College has always been known for their high quality education provided within the field of criminal justice. They’ve had so much success in this field, that they decided to expand their horizons with a CyberSecurity program that takes the criminal justice field to the point of utilizing modern technology towards our advantage.
Original Expectations for This Course
Utica College originally estimated that when this new program launched in the Fall semester of 2010, only 10 students would be willing to participate. This was a low number, but it also provided them with a number that could be realistically achieved,
CyberSecurity is still in its early stages. In fact, this field is still continuing to take baby steps due to how much we have underestimated the new forms of technology that have been presented to us constantly over the past decade or so.
The Actual Interest
For the Fall semester, over 60 students signed up for this great program. That’s definitely a lot more than the faculty of Utica College expected to see right from the beginning. This goes to show that there is a high demand for this particular career, and Utica College is once again a college that can efficiently tackle the situation while providing some of the highest quality of education in the nation.
CyberSecurity Program Overview
For those of you who aren’t familiar with CyberSecurity, it mainly focuses on Advanced Computer Forensics, Counter Intelligence, and Counter Espionage. It’s just like many of the other fields of intelligence, except this one is a lot more high tech than any form of criminal activity has ever evolved before. The demand continues to grow, and it won’t be fading away as long as we rely on computer to make our lives a lot easier to live.
