University of Arkansas Sees Increase In Enrollments

Around the country, we can see more and more people going to college than we have ever seen in decades. Unemployment rates are at a high and so are enrollment rates for college students. One college seeing this clearly is the University of Arkansas who is currently seeing record more new college students then they have seen in just about 65 years.

University of Arkansas Admissions and Financial Aid

With over 21,000 students, the University of Arkansas has found themselves in the position to where they have to work hard to make sure that all of the admissions and financial aid for students is taken care of before school starts. Needless to say, the University of Arkansas was successful in handling this large growth in enrollment.

It’s great to see a college get such an unpredictable burst in enrollment, and it’s even better to see a college handle it as well as the University of Arkansas has been handling it. This goes to show that the opportunity for education is out there for those who are serious about taking advantage of it.

Causes of Sudden Enrollment Boom

When we look at the educational environment in Arkansas, one thing that catches my attention is their lottery which funds tons of college scholarships. Many states have used the lottery to fund education and it’s shown that it truly works when it comes to educating the community.

This year, over 4,000 students qualified for the Challenge Scholarships that are funded by the Arkansas lottery. With that said, it’s a matter of the government doing their part in providing a college education to people who may not have found themselves sitting in a classroom without it.

While the University of Arkansas isn’t the only college seeing an increased amount of enrollment, they provide a perfect example of just how important an education is becoming. Especially when the economy is in the state that it is currently.
