Transfers, UCs See Fall 2010 Grades
Published on Thursday, February 10th, 2011 by Caroline Category: UC and CSU
Its application season so transfers are surely working up a sweat writing, rewriting, and revising their personal statements. Please do not forget, however, to keep your grades up! Not only to can the UCs still see your first semester/first quarter grades, these grades are also factored into your GPA when they review your application!
What is a WIP form?
Although the application filing deadline is November 30th, you will have to submit transfer update in January. The transfer update is more generally known as a mid-year report where you will be asked to report back the final grades you have earned for the Fall semester of your application year. The transfer updates are required by all the UCs and their requests are generally sent out mid-January. The grades that you report will, again, be the last set of grades incorporated into your GPA that will be evaluated for admissions. DO NOT falter if you have a competitive GPA. Those that would like to raise their GPA, on the other hand, should see this last semester/quarter as an opportunity to raise your GPA to a desired level.
Make sure you complete your transfer update by the priority January 31st deadline!
