Debunking the Haas Transfer Myth

What most applicants do not realize is the rumored single digits transfer admission statistics are not completely accurate in reflecting the school’s selectivity. The low transfer admission statistic is distorted because of a large amount applicants who have not completed the many requirements needed to even be considered for admissions to Haas. For example, out of the 1542 applicants vying for a spot for the Fall of 2010, only 376 applicants had completed the mandatory class requirements in order to be considered for admission. Thus, 1166 applicants were considered ineligible and immediately thrown out of the running. The good news is that out of the 376 eligible applicants, 105 were admitted. That’s a 28% admission rate!

It is clear, based on their admission statistics, that Haas is very strict on their selection process. So, the important lesson here is to make sure you complete the admission requirements.
