UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design Summer Events

This week, a notice went out from UC Berkeley’s Environmental Design department advising students, counselors and community colleges of upcoming events they will be hosting.  These events are intended for students interested in majoring in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Studies at UC Berkeley.

Here are a few they hope students will find helpful in their college preparation:

1. For prospective transfer students – Friday, July 23 (rescheduled from July 9) and Friday, August 6 are days that potential transfer students can visit the campus and get information on the majors listed above.   For more info, go to the UC Berkeley Transfer, Re-entry & Student Parent Center.
2. Students with the slightest interest in UC Berkeley (CAL) are urged to complete an interest form at Picture Yourself at Cal . Students receive their own personalized webpage based on their academic interests and will be added to the Cal mailing list to receive event invitations, advising opportunities, and admissions news.  This is a great way for prospective students to stay informed about the admissions process.
3. Last but not least, please take a look at our CED website for prospective students  and transfer students website.

The websites on number 3 above also offer options for students to complete prerequisites who attend schools that do not have articulated courses, and those students that are not in the immediate Bay Area (this might be YOUR school).

College Majors:  “When choosing a major, be sure to do your homework and take advantage of opportunities the college provide to visit before hand.”
