An Increase in SAT Tests But Scores Remain The Same

The year of 2010 will always be one that’s remembered for the record-setting enrollment rates that colleges have faced throughout the nation. More people are feeling that urge to get a college degree now than they have been in years.

The SAT test is proof that there are more students seeking entry into college today than there has been in years. In fact, in the 84 years that the SAT has been in existence, it saw its highest number of over one and a half million students who took this college entry exam.

The Final SAT Scores for 2010

The final SAT scores which are listed below haven’t changed since last year.

• 492 for Writing
• 516 for Math
• 501 for Reading

This is far from being close to getting a perfect score (which is 800), but it shows that the educational system in the United States isn’t doing any worse than they did last year.

From the looks of it, there should be an increase in SAT scores next year as new programs are rolled out to prepare high school students for this rigorous college entry exam that’s required by a vast majority of colleges in the United States.

Improvement In The Average SAT Scores Over The Recent Years

Believe it or not, the math section has seen an increase in fifteen points over the past few years while the reading section has improved by one point. Our nation is definitely on the right track when it comes to testing the best on exams such as the SAT. Not to mention, there are many things in the works to better the education that students receive.

The Future for The SAT Exam

It’s no doubt that we’re going to see more students that are taking the SAT each and every year. The scores seem to take a while to improve, but there’s no doubt that the nation is well on its way towards mastering the SAT exam for the most part. It’s just a matter of time before SAT history is really made.
